About GS Medical & CPRG

Comprehensive Pain Relief Group (CPRG) was formed in late 2001 by Gregory Alan Smith, M.D., QME . After 3 years it was clear that the focus was not only on chronic pain but also prescription addiction. The practice was expanding and more integrative approaches were being used so in 2004 GS Medical Center was formed to more accurately reflect the goals of the company. “I got tired of working in a broken system that was not helping the patient, so I started my own company”.  GS Medical is a multi-speciality medical group that focuses on Integrative medicine for the treatment of chronic pain and prescription narcotic dependence and addiction.

This means that we think out of the traditional conventional medicine box to help patients that have failed traditional approaches (surgery, physical therapy, counseling, injections, etc.) to treat their condition. We see patients from all over the United States and Internationally. The group now consists of multiple healthcare professionals including other physicians, chiropractors, herbalist, medical hypnotherapists, functional nutritionists, acupuncturists, Reiki healer, and more.

Currently we have locations in Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Fresno California with offices in San Diego, San Francisco, Arizona and Nevada in development.. Out of State and International patients are treated at the Los Angeles location.
